Tex2Me relaunched

Tex2, a competitor to cheap SMS sending HotTxt, has relaunched its site. The company also beefed up its java app for mobiles which lets you send texts using the data connection. Tex2 members could message each others for free, while SMSing to non-members costs 5p a message. You can exchange around 20 messages with your mates for the price of one SMS sent the old fashioned way. Tex2 requires that you have GPRS enabled on your phone and that you can use your phone to browse the web.

A blogger reaction: “Tex2 is an absolute dream if you’re hunting for Blackberry style messaging on a ‘normal’ handset.” — Ewan MacLeod, SMS Text News.
