Joost gets multinational after the company closed a deal with Canadian broadcast company JumpTV, reports Reuters. The peer-to-peer TV client will soon air Spanish-language series from Colombia, Chile and Peru, and an Arabic-language comedy. Later this year, will come Romanian, Turkish, Russian and Bengali JumpTV programs.

On Red Herring, Kaleil Isaza Tuzman, president of JumpTV International, said he’s “not smart enough about this whole thing to see how it’s going to play out”, but believes “it’s going to be disruptive.”
