One of the missing feature of the Apple iPhone is 3G connectivity. Without it, this phone won’t work in Japan or less roaming choices in Europe and other parts of Asia. This might change in 2008. Apple Insider (via mobile digest) rumored a Swedish firm has been assured that they’ll get their hands on a 3G version of the iPhone by that time.

The eventual non-American version of the iPhone would rely on “a particular form of 3G known as High-Speed Download Packet Access (HSDPA) [which] happens to represent Apple’s best shot at selling the iPhone beyond American borders,” says Apple Insider.
