Les Pages Jaunes, the French Yellow Pages, get a VoIP update, a click-to-call button for users to reach listed businesses for free. Calls can me made online (and doesn’t require any phone number) but also works with landline regular phone numbers.

From now on, the service will be offered to anyone who advertises online, says Les Pages Jaunes in a press release, usually around the renewal of the company subscription. According to French business news site 01Net, around 3000 of the 15.000 companies have already seized the opportunity.

Behind the tool, eStara, the click-to-call provider. The company isn’t at its first try and has been bundling Yellow Pages Singapore since March 2007. Click-to-call is usually considered as a low-cost tool to generate qualified leads that completes direct prospection through call centers.
