Free and disposable phone number: Craigsnumber

Craigsnumber could be a Craig’s List portmanteau brand, but isn’t affiliate to it, although its service could complete the other one. Craigsnumber gives a disposable phone number for nothing in counterpart. The service is currently restricted to the US, and is promoted as a convenient way to conduct business online, for instance on Craig’s List or eBay, without getting tons of spams or crazy callers stock at you.
After you pick one of those numbers, “when someone calls your Craigsnumber, they’ll be prompted to record a greeting before they’re connected, which allows you to screen incoming calls”, adds the Download Squad (via genbeta). So far, there’s not business model tied to Craigsnumber. So did Jangl before hooking up with Match.com to provide anonymous phone numbers for the dating website.
