Zing: a step closer to the MP3 VoIP phone

It’s the ‘Zing’, the music player ‘Zing’ that Apple would certainly not like to see on consumer markets before its iPhone. It’s called the ‘Zing’, manufactured by eponymous company Zing (via orbitcast), looks like a scramble version of an iPod and a Smartphone, and comes with WiFi support and a built-in microphone.
Currently, the main purpose is to provide WiFi radio. Zing partnered Sirius (the satellite radio that does WiFi too) for contents. But the listening is announced as interactive; people check what other people are listening to, then play sample of those tracks, or buy songs and albums directly from the player.
But the most intriguing is the push-to-talk functionality that allows voice calling within an access point range. Push-to-talk means Talkie-Walkie, which means it’s still imperfect. But the VoIP MP3 player is about to come.
