Yahoo Messenger equals Skype on audio quality

Yahoo launches its new Messenger beta version today. Every one now knows it. Can Yahoo compete with the entrenched Skype? Certainly, reports TechNewsWorld, as the Internet telephony market is still wide open. And a sign that Yahoo could fill the gap, guess who the portal has contracted for the new voice feature? Global IP Sound (GIPS). GIPS provides some audio technologies that Skype also uses for VoIP client. So basically, both voice clients must share the same quality of sounds.
GIPS was originally founded in Stockholm, Sweden but since then is headquartered in San Fransisco. They mainly develop voice technologies.
