First Yahoo! Messenger certified VoIP handset

Yes, it’s true, the VoIP handset world isn’t distributed into Windows Live certified and Skype certified products. The Siemens Gigaset S450Y is really working with Y! messenger.

The phone, and other Gigaset devices, were already announced a couple of months ago. Both companies inked a deal in March. Through the use of the Siemens Gigaset M34 USB adapter, Y! Messenger users could access their account on every cordless Siemens handset.

With Y! Messenger soon to be compatible with Live Messenger, there’ll a battle heating up on who’s gonna be the most certified softphone maker.
