Yahoo and Helio scored a deal

Buzz surrounding Helio and its services would not stop tomorrow. The new mobile carrier today announces a deal with Yahoo. Prior to the portal, Helio inked a partnership with MySpace, which partially yields in Helio to be touting MySpace members with two exclusive new mobile phones. And add to this, some rumors focusing on an eventual deal with Apple for its iPhone (see Looking for iPhone).

As part of the deal, Helio would provide Yahoo! Messenger and Mail, two no-surprise offers as Helio targets students in high school and college. Helio also integrates Yahoo! Search, News, Sports, Finance, Movies, and news feeds on selected topics.

But what is quite disappointing is that the mobile phone operator wouldn’t provide any weblog editor, nor video nor pictures sharing. We guess MySpace sealed its deal with some exclusivity rights.
