Vodafone soon to GSM/broadband service in Italy

Vodafone and Fastweb are teaming together to provide a cell/broadband service. The service would concern ‘Voda’ and Fastweb subscribers.
Vodafone clients would be able to use their mobile phones from home at fixed-line rates and use a high-speed ADSL modem to access Fastweb’s broadband network, said the release (in Italian). Also, calls between Fastweb landline and Vodafone mobile would be made at a discount rate.
The broadband landscape is changing a lot this week. Telecom Italia is still willing to sell its mobile unit.
