AOL worst customer cancellation experience

How hard is to cancel an AOL account? A lot of motivation. So Vincent Ferrari, who wanted to get away from AOL but knew it was hard to get through the cancellation procedure, saved his stop-AOL experience and share it with others on the Net.

It went all bad for AOL. His post had received over 500 Diggs, over 720 comments were posted on his own blog in fifteen days. Vincent Ferrari even appeared on the NBC News Today Show. The employee whose job was to retain Mr. Ferrari even asked him to give the phone to his dad.

AOL sent this apologize letter: “At AOL, we have zero-tolerance for customer care incidents like this ― which is deeply regrettable and also absolutely inexcusable… This matter was dealt with immediately and appropriately, and the employee cited here is no longer with the Company.”

Anyone has a bad experience with AOL customer service? Anyone stayed on the line for 21 minutes just to get an order executed?

  • The only reason why the employee is being fired is because he got taped. Let’s face the facts, AOL has the worst customer service in the industry and they do not deserve the business of any of their clients until they start cleaning up their own mess.
