Verizon, Sprint and Cingular struggling with bandwidth consumption

One by one, wireless operators realize they should limit the Internet use of their customers. Recently, three new big providers are moving back from the “honey, let the kids play on the Net” conception: Verizon Wireless warned its power Internet users to chill down a bit on heavy Internet consumption, while Sprint and Cingular Wireless are beginning to charge people for extra amount, indicated the WSJ (via).

Like those mobile operators, British Telecom debuts bandwidth restriction and T-Mobile UK confirmed they had no plans to let their customers do some VoIP calls (see VoIP doesn’t mix with 3G).

Hey folks, seriously, do you really think VoIP democratization will be this easy? What would you think?
