Verizon and friends to boost mobile-fixed calls

Verizon and some companies are working on a superfast version of IP multimedia subsystem. Currently, such technologies are available. According to Multichannel News, “early IMS-powered products now in development include cell phone address books that can tell if a friend is online and available to take a call, and systems that make it possible to use one phone for calls using either a cellular or home Wi-Fi connection.”

What could do the Advances to IMS project is to simplify the overall structure. Thus, enhancing communication between mobile, fixed multimedia services for audio and video calls.
