Now, Jajah has a cousin, a clone, a competitor. Talkety, another VoIP startup, from Europe but this time whose offices are based in London. They sent us an email to introduce what they plan to do.

The provided service is still in beta, but looks very similar to what Jajah has done so far. From the basic functionalities and the phone rate point of view.

Talkety is a web-based telephone service. Using VOIP technology, but avoiding the hassles of computer attachments, it employs key features to ensure a quality service with no hang-ups.”

“Talkety will connect any two phones, cellular or landline, by number. With ease and effectiveness, all one must do is type in his number, the number he wishes to dial, click “connect” and let Talkety do the rest. The caller’s phone rings. By answering, the call is triggered, and the second phone rings at the other end, connecting the two individuals with clarity.”

Talkety provides a contact list to every member. So far, we haven’t try it long enough to say something firm on it. But we would.

They also announced more functionalities to come. Well, it’s just words, but if they use the same buzz technique as Jajah has been doing, you would jump on them quite soon. Meanwhile, a little screenshot for you of their web-based interface.
