Skype on Symbian to be released by December

At the Symbian Smartphone Show in London (pictured), Eric Lagier, chief of mobile development for Skype, hints that “before Christmas, [Skype] can satisfy a lot of questions about where it is on mobile phones.” Meaning Skype should be ready to bring out something for the end of the year, most probably the awaited Skype for Symbian platform.
Recently, Niklas Zennstrom acknowledged that developing a mobile version of the Skype client is “challenging and taking much longer than expected.” So far, only Skype for Windows-powered smartphones is available.
