Skype for Mac, now with video

Skype rolls a milestone release of its version 2.0 beta softphone on Apple Mac. The software now can start video calls. Users could see each other within the Skype window or in full screen mode, and a small window let them check how they appear to the person they are calling.

Compared to Apple iChat, the new feature still is limited. Multi-person video chatting isn’t allowed. No 3D view that makes user experience a lot richer. No fancy video backdrops. But, well, it’s a beta.
