Skype London offices, finally spotted

When a middle-size software company just got bought by a Fortune 500 company for €2.1 billion ($2.6 billion), people usually imagine they would afford moving out for a bigger, nicer offices… Usually. But it doesn’t have to be that way, and Tech Chronicles, one of the daily San Francisco Gate blogs, had some problem to find out the exact location of Skype London offices.
They were running for a classic interview of some corporate guys and would probably think they would find them easily. First surprise: no address on the web site. Second surprise: instead of finding them sitting in their giant sofa made of precious angora wool, they faced this small building entrance, without any fancy corporate street sign, only this tiny sticker near the doorbell, which was almost undetectable that it could have been some teens jokes.
Skype is a disruptive technology made by a disruptive company. Hope SFGate blogger aren’t that disrupted… Read their blog post here. It’s kinda funny. And by the way, Skype London offices are situated in Lexington Street, near Picadilly Circus.
