Skype dating Bebo

Just a couple of days after we reported that Skype is featured on Canadian relationship network Verbdate, Skype itself announces that SkypeWeb also lands on another social network site, Bebo.
According to Bebo, the social network launched in july 2005 already signed 22 million members. Most of them are 16- to 25-years-old, live in English-speaking countries (North America, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand), and study in high school and in universities. For the record, Friendster announces 27 million members on its website but the figure might be not up-to-date.
In practice, Beboers (or Bebo members) will have to download and to open a Skype account before accessing to the Skype 2.0 VoIP client functionalities. This includes voice calling, of course, but also video chatting, a domain in which Skype is still trailing behind more specialized softwares, like SightSpeed (see 10 Skype alternatives).
Recently, the Friendster head of business development has joined the Bebo board of directors. The fresh partnership between Skype and Bebo may have something to do with that, as the Friendster toolkit has already been providing some VoIP features.
