Skype 3.2 is now available, with PayPal

The latest version of Skype is out. Unlike the precedent one which just featured the Skype Prime functionality and various invisible technical changes, Skype 3.2 is better.
It enables the PayPal money sending option, that Skype’s CEO Niklas Zennstrom announced to be effective sometimes “within a month” (so by late April 2007), and provides a redesigned account access to display all the most popular information in a click.
Skype has also integrated its own audio codec in the new version. This makes it more unique, as the Global IP Sounds codecs power a bunch of VoIP clients, from the Yahoo! Messenger with voice to Gizmo Project.
On top of that, two additional functionalities make the Skype client even sexier. The cool one is the video snapshot. You see yourself in the webcam, freeze the video and capture the portion of the image to use as a profile image for example. The other is the useful one. Skype can now import contact list from GMail, Hotmail or Y! Mail, broadening the import capability so far restricted to Outlook and Outlook Express.
For what we see and try, this version is a good one. Effective and well designed.
