IM roundup: RadiusIM, VoiceOne, Skype 2.6, Followap

RadiusIM. “IMing, geotagging flavor” could have the site tagline. RadiusIM is all about location. You filed in your profile and discover who’s chatting around your spot. Nice way to meet new faces when you’ve just moved in.

VoiceOne’s Click4Me. VoiceOne debuts its universal instant messaging platform with so far IM support for Live Messenger, Y! Messenger, AIM and Google Talk. VoiceOne has a good launch timing, if we consider that the Meebo’s and KoolIM’s leads aren’t that steady.

Skype 2.6b (for Windows only). This still in development version unveils the big orientation that Skype is taking: Skypecast. The functionality has now its own tab on the user interface. Besides this, some minor features have made it to the softphone, such as birthday notifications and click links right in mood messages.

Followap’s iFollow. The IM client for cellphone has been chosen by South Korean cellphone maker LG to fill in its latest 3G handset, the LG U300. Cellphone callers could now use Windows Live Messenger.
