PSP gamers have their own WiFi network

Sony is launching a WiFi hotspot network for its PlayStation Portable (PSP). Free access for gamers, 11 access points throughout Britannia, the biggest one situated in London. And don’t forget that PSP users now could turn their device into a VoIP handset. Cool… But this looks like a defensive move, a “no-Nintendo” tactic just cast to prevent the game console manufacturer to control the market in the UK.
The Sony’s network is 11-hotspot wide. Nintendo has 600 OpenZone hotspots (in partnership with British Telecoms) and about 7,500 WiFi Connection network for its DS console. But Sony sweets the service: Game demos, music, videos could be downloaded for free. Would it be enough?
