At the upcoming CES, Microvision will showcase the Pico Projector, a tiny tiny projector capable of projecting a full color notebook-sized screen onto any surface and at any distance, reports OhGizmo. If the device could produce a sharp enough image resolution, the device could enhance usability on small displays and boost multimedia content on mobiles.

It would be interesting to check its characteristics as it’s not the first sugar cube size projector, although it is one of the first for cellphones. Recently, 21talks covers the Germany Fraunhofer Institute has been working on a similar device but the research team said it hasn’t found a way yet to shrink the red, blue, green laser into a cellphone.
