Social Networking 3.0: People, tags… video chat?

As social networking heads to mainstream media, the keyword becomes a more and more useless. Marketing campaigns all rely on this tag to buy some mass credibility and coolness.
Today, PalTalk got Techcrunch reviewed, which relayed the Social Networking 3.0 new buzzword. Everyone follows the Techcrunch’s scouting flair; when it picks a company, that should mean it would clearly impact on the Internet.
Meanwhile, PalTalk released a press note in which it says:
“Paltalk is the largest Instant Chat (IC) community on the Internet with over 4 million active members participating in live voice and video enabled chat rooms. The Paltalk Messenger allows members to administer their own voice and video discussions and instant message (IM) with buddies on AOL, Yahoo, and ICQ. The Paltalk Messenger has been downloaded over 40 million times and accounts for over 8 billion voice minutes per year. Paltalk was the first company to launch video and voice combined with an on-line buddy list in one package.”
In short, PalTalk launched its community site a long time ago, which follows the technology evolution. First text instant messaging, then VoIP telephony systems, and now Video VoIP features.
Does that change something?
Answer: Alexa, the web ranking, which doesn’t bring the most accurate statistics on a website, but is a reliable source for predicting its traffic curves:

To us, the graph demystifies the buzz. Rebranding itself in the social networking 2.0 generation hasn’t brought more traffic to PalTalk. What could the Social networking 3.0 skin could bring to the company? Any ideas?
