Palm might be sold before Thursday this week, reports Unstrung. Morgan Stanley, hired by the handheld company to explore strategic options, wants to close a deal before the Treo’s quarterly earnings conference.

Nokia, Motorola, private equity firms Texas Pacific Group and Silver Lake Partners are on the list of potential buyers. Published reports indicate that Palm is leaning toward selling to a private equity investor, says Newsfactor. The amount could be around $20 per share.
