Another sign that media convergence and mobile IM is doing great in Europe. Windows Live Messenger will be available to all Orange customers. First, in France by December, then in other Orange countries, Spain and the UK, by early 2007.

By that time, other services like IP telephony, blogging and rich content download would be available through the Orange portal, says the release. The service, logically called Orange Live, results from a partnership signed in mid term of last year.

For the record, France Telecom has already unveiled its quad-play last month, through its service called Unik. Customers using the FT router called LiveBox are able to make flat rate phone rate at home with a specific cellphone, combined to broadband access, IPTV, VoIP. But it’s expensive, though: €99.
