ONO, rumored to become the Vodafone mobile operator?

On one hand, there’s Vodafone Spain, which has to adopt the best tactics to gain some precious market share in this portion of Europe. On the other hand, we have ONO, the “gran” cable company that almost wired the whole country and that already provides some nifty triple-play services.
Vodafone has to decide whether it keep concentrating on mobile phone service, or invests in the traditional landline phone market and become a real ISP. Tough question.
ONO, to cool off some of its main competitors, has to terminate its media convergence, hence, has to go for the quad-play: Internet connection, video, voice over IP, plus mobile phone calls.
Now, the big news: ONO might become the mobile virtual network operator for Vodafone. If this is true, ONO wouldn’t need to acquire infrastructure for its quad-play and Vodafone would finally land on a precious portion of traditional phone network.
So far, Vodafone denied everything, officially.
