The iPhone launch time is coming. Jesse Tortora, a research analyst at Prudential Equities, believes that Apple will unveil two models of the VoIP iPod in early 2007.

One of the two handsets would a smartphone, “including integrated keyboard, video and music capability”. The other “will be a slimmer phone with music capability. At least one of the models will include WiFi.”

Let’s sum all the elements up. The one with integrated keyboard might become the Sony Mylo and Nokia 770 rival. It could even be a cellphone, which operates through T-Mobile or Cingular networks, and would come eventually with GPS capability.

The slimmer one would look like an iPod Nano like media player, voice and touch-screen enabled, and supporting WiFi connectivity to turn the device into a VoIP when a hotspot is a reach.

Anyway, if the rumor is true, Apple will give Microsoft Zune a hard time with two new handsets. A recent Piper Jaffray’s poll indicates that 74% of asked teens would rush on the iPhone.
