Nokia small revolution: no more ugly names

Nokia will stop calling its cellphones with alphanumerical name. Instead, it will give them a real name, just as Motorola did with its Razr or LG with its Chocolate.

The move is a smart one. First: Nokia could promote new cellphones as real brand, and make those names stick a lot longer in consumers’ attention. Second: Instead of saying a Nokia 770, people could just say the Nokia Internet Tablet, which more accurately correspond to the main functions of the portable device.
