Are mobile phones dangerous for users’ health? Yay and nay people have been fighting each other for several years on this tricky question. Here’s another report they can use.

This time, it was some researchers from the Swedish National Institute for Working Life led the work. Their tests were conducted on a panel of 905 people aging from 20 to 80 years old and who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor. About 10% of the test participants are heavy cellphone users.

Now, let’s jump to their conclusion. Yes, there’s a correlation. “The rise in risk is noticeable for tumors on the side of the head where the phone was said to be used,” said the study.

To be accurate, the term “heavy users” defines those who spend over 2,000 hours or more… in their life. So around 2 hours per day during 2 years. That’s not that much when you think mobile phone operators are rolling out more and more unlimited phone service. Better switch to VoIP phones.
