Microsoft iPod has different names

The MiPod (Microsoft iPod) has now at least one name. You can call it Argo, or if you aren’t fond of Jason in kilt and the Argonauts Greek mythology, you can follow Gizmodo which hinted “The Zune” as another possible name.

But on both cases, the Argonauts or the Zune craftsmen crew should be nothing but the XBox group, according to the Seattle Times.

Meanwhile Engadget, sleuthing “inside the team”, scooped a picture of the device. For the record, Argo/Zune is a multimedia player combining social networking features, WiFi and potentially, a wireless phone.

The device candidate shows the most minimalist user interface. Notice how huge the Apple prints are; nowadays, a device that wants to be considered serious on multimedia and design should provide the selection wheel.
