Apple will launch its iPhone. Again. After that several sources from JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Piper Jaffary confirmed it, it’s the turn of Visiongain to sustain the Apple iPhone rumor.
But this time, the UK financial analysis firm poured some somewhat more precise details: “Apple will launch an iPhone this spring in tandem with Helio’s launch in the US,” Pam Duffey, analyst for Visiongain. In fact, it is the next product release in the Appple’s schedule.
For the records, Helio is a mobile virtual network operator (see description on Wikipedia) formed after a joint-venture between Internet provider EarthLink and Korean mobile operator SK Telecom. It recently inked a partner with MySpace.com.
If it’s true, Apple iPhone launched in tandem with Helio US beginning will cause some trouble to conventional mobile carrier. EarthLink already poured some $121 million into Helio, as well as acknowledging on the transfer of 27,000 EarthLink wireless customers to the joint-venture.
For those who still ignore it, iPhone is expected to be the Apple iPod with VoIP features. Its possible apparition was rumored since a couple of months, when Apple unveiled its home stereo for iPod.
MacWorld UK magazine, which very seriously looks for the invisible device, has caught the press release.
