Legion of new subscribers for US cablecos

A confirmation has been given by numbers of the second quarter in the VoIP industry, reports Cable Digital News. The magazine showed that cablecos are doing awesomely in North America about VoIP telephony. Over 1 million new customers. Telcos aren’t quite far from that pace.
Some other figures:
- 11,000 new customers a day contracted a IP telephone service,
- 1.18 million new subscribers to broadband Internet offers for the same time period.
Confirmation also for the Time Warner as the big leader of the market. Time Warner maintained its position by netting 234,000 new customers in the second quarter, although the pace slowed a bit. For its part, Comcast is reported to add up more new clients.
Both were already the tough guys of the VoIP playground in the first quarter. Something that we saw it already. If the trends keep what it is right now, softphone companies will need to find some better business models, as people will take VoIP telephone from triple-plays.
