Jeff Pulver on the next Internet big thing: online video

It’s time to move on. At the end of this month, uberbloggers Robert Scoble will say goodbye to its employer Microsoft and Om Malik will cleanse its desk at CNN Business 2.0. Both are going from large behemoths to small, human-size startups. The former will join PodTech.net, the later will turn its blog into an online publishing venture.
Well, in this frenzy, Jeff Pulver is moving on too. He is usually referred as the VoIP evangelist, was at the start of Vonage, has contributed to its growth ― but left it before its IPO.
Now, it’s time to move on. Internet video. According to the WSJ, he’s looking for the next “Vonage of Internet video”, considers “launching a broader Internet TV subsidiary and is weighing whether to invest in several emerging Internet video companies, though he won’t name them.”
“Someday he wants to start an Internet reality TV show.”
“So far Mr. Pulver says he has landed several speakers from the world of digital media, including Bram Cohen, chief executive and co-founder of BitTorrent Inc., a popular Internet video service that assembles large files by downloading them in pieces from different users.”
Signal vs noise, which one do you pick?
