Jangl, a phone number anonymizer service

Anonymity of the phone number might prevail to people. At least, it’s the take of Jangl, a phone service startup based in California, which opened its doors as a public beta version since April.
Jangl (formely Buzzage) ports the email forwarding technique to phone service. After subscription to the service, you receive a series of anonymous phone numbers that act as a bumping layer. When people call you using the given number, their calls are automatically forward to your real one.
The service looks very similar to an email alias service, already available on a bunch of web-based and standalone email readers. People use them to create several different email username that can then be sent to new contacts. When they get spam or scams, they just need to get rid of the alias.
Staysafe, an already available service provide the same kind of phone numbers, albeit it gives solely a 7-days phone number. Hopefully, with Jangl, you end up with a permanent anonymous service, upon subscription to the service or after listening to an audio ad played during the connecting time.
And, for those who want to use the system extensively: the Jangl infrastructure is based on IP delivery, which extends its versatility and should pretty much be able to transfer every kind of digital content.
