Breaking news: Jajah from your mobile phone

Jajah, the web-based VoIP service provider, debuts its mobile edition. In essence, a mobile edition means members are not tied to a computer to make phone calls. They can start them out directly from their cellphones, with the same flat rate than calls made on the Web.

To make it work, members need to download the Jajah client, that supports Symbian- and Java-enable cellphones. Both should be available at midnight PCT or 8AM GMT depending on where you are. (Check on their website if your mobile phone is listed on their compatible models.)

Using Jajah on a Symbian cellphone was theoretically possible since April this year. The company stroke a deal with Opera Software and Symbian to bundle their service to the Opera Mini for cellphones and incorporate to Symbian OS.

Since we’ve put Jajah on our radar, the provider has always been one of the most vivid player in the VoIP arena. Flat rates lower than Skype and among the lowest currently available. Before Gizmo Project got the idea, it unveils a global call offer, which enables members to call each other on their landline phones and cellphones.
