Jajah for dummies - Podcast

This week, the 21talkshow welcomes Jajah, a VoIP service provider that began its activity in Luxembourg but since, has landed in California and is heading towards the Asian Pacific region.

We ask them to introduce their service, with the same rules than Talkster last week: Four minutes max of airtime, and an open scene to creativity. The result is a lively podcast, cool to hear (even if you’re a telecom expert.) We hope that Don Thorson, VP of Marketing for Jajah, would provide some clues to those who don’t know yet what Jajah does. Download link: Jajah

Transcripts of some portions of the presentation.

1:51 — We’re not designed to be used by computers, geeks or highly technical people. Jajah’s just for everyday people. So what you do when you go on the Jajah site, you see there’s not registration, no downloads, no headset, no special equipment. It’s as easy as if you do a Google search basically, and all you do is enter your name and give us a phone number and you’re in business and you can call any other Jajah user basically for free anywhere in the world.

2:34 — Jajah used to be a web-based application, and we’re now able to let people make free and long distance calls directly from their mobile phone.

2:48 — All you have to do now is download the little plugin to your mobile phone. You’re just able to dial a phone number like you would any other time. If it’s a contact in your address book on your phone, no problem, you press the call button. If that number has an international prefix in front of it, it automatically makes Jajah call for you.
