A talking ‘iPod’ to be showcased at the CES

Within less than one week, the iPhone will be the center of everyone’s attention. But there will be another spot to check. Another ‘talking iPod’, slick and smooth, will be showcased at the CES by iRiver: The W10 is a digital audio player, pictured here, which comes equipped with WiFi and VoIP.
Even if there might be not the WiFi song sharing functions a la Microsoft Zune, the W10 should preload maps of ten US major cities, along with listings for some 200,000 businesses that can presumably be located using the device. Once within a wireless hotspot, users could make phone calls to one of them. There will be more details on the VoIP clients, its SIP or not protocol, and the calling plan prices. (via Akihabara)
