Two new things:

  • Google stops email discrimination for its Google Talk registration. No matter your email, you can get an GTalk account still restricted to the IM. But it doesn’t give access to other services, such as Google Homepage.

  • Yahoo and MSN respective messengers are now officially married. Members from both networks, estimated at 350 million worldwide, can exchange instant messages, files and voice chat.

But there’s a question that remains unclear to us. Will Yahoo or Live Messenger users be able to use their cordless DECT phone to chat to their pals?

  • Microsoft has released the 6.0 version of its Live Messenger for Mac 6.0. It is Yahoo interoperable, as Yahoo messenger for Mac was before the official statement.
