Google Talk now supports Speex. The open source speech codec has been developed by the Xiph organization best-known for the Ogg Vorbis audio compression format. We talked about Speex the last week, the codec is getting quite close to its 1.2 final release.
iSkootDuo. iSkoot extended its client software to WiFi/GSM mobile phones. So now, you won’t even need to pay a lot for 3G/GPRS data consumption, just enter a hotspot zone. As a reminder, iSkoot could be considered as the big rival of EQO, the company that allows cellphone users to start Skype calls from their mobile device.
