With its cellphone project in collaboration France Telecom’s Orange, Google ambitions its future in the mobile market. The phone isn’t that special, as it is a Samsung’s HSDPA device coming with Google’s mobile search and Gmail applications (something we covered in late December).

Today, Google made it more official, announcing its partnership with Samsung to bundle Google search, maps and email services for mobiles on Samsung mobiles “beginning in early 2007”.

Samsung took the occasion to remind it has already launched its first mobile handset, the Ultra Edition 13.8 (SGH-Z720), with Google mobile search and Gmail services. Yesterday, Yahoo and Motorola told the press they will sealed the same kind of collaboration.
