The GPhone wouldn’t be developed by Google

Google doesn’t change its cap, think Piper Jaffray analysts. For the Google Phone, it’s still more focused on the software engineering than the hardware part. Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster, who issued several information about the Apple iPhone, even believes “Google is working with, not against, Apple in the mobile world.”

That makes a lot of sense. Google CEO’s Eric Schmidt recently acknowledged Google and Apple have “similar goals, similar competitors.” So far, the Google phone is more rumored to run Google services than embedding disrupting functions. And, that’s our bet, as Google did it for its other services, the Google Phone would provide an API for developers to play with.
