A new patent accorded to Google shows that Google ads and other competing brands might in the future bundle your landline phone, ZDNet found out. The platform will rely on the screen display of the phone and can be controlled by graphical user interfaces on a touch-sensitive display screens.

Ad elements and the user interface will be tailored to match personal preferences and geographical criteria. Such a platform will also include extra features such as streaming audios (to allow users to listen to radio stations), live traffic reports, or photo displaying.

As ad-supported calls are resurfacing, we hope Google will also include a Google Talk widget that will enable users to talk to each others for free.
