GigaByte has made in motherboards and other computer components. The Taiwanese hi-tech manufacturer is pretty new on SmartPhones, but, at the CeBit, which closed its doors two days ago, they clearly announced their ambitions to expand in this market with some interesting models. Look at the G-Smart and the G-Smart I. Two small handsets with a quite large range of build-in features: 2 megapixel camera with macro lens, mini USB, FM radio tuner, a TV tuner(!), 240×320 pixels TFT touch panel, MP3 player, Bluetooth 1.2, GSM, GPRS, WLAN 802.11b ― yes, you could make VoIP phone calls.

The former model is already available for Taiwanese. The latter, the next model, a bit lighter, would be introduced by April this year in the domestic market and by July in European market. Its price was no disclosed. For the United States, well, the manufacturer has yet no plan to launch its models in this area.
