eBay/Skype quality of announcements: C-

eBay officially Tuesday’s announcement was a kind of deception. Skype will add a “Skype Me” in the auctioneers’ toolkit and PayPal is going more and more integrated into Skype, something everyone was expecting since the eBay buyout of Skype last December.

For the record, the PayPal has already been integrated into Skype. That was a month ago. eBay even made a soft announcement at its press day.

But that’s it. Nothing more, nothing less, no crispy news, nothing about the click-to-call Skype eventual functionality for contextual ads. Nothing about an eventual interoperability between Yahoo Messenger and Skype ― as Yahoo! and eBay decided to partner against Google.

Na. Such a dry flow of announcements couldn’t be possible, eBay must be hiding something. At least, if you read 21talks, you would know everything before Meg Whitman publicly announces them, which is not that bad for us ;)
