Which hotel provides the best room service? Sorry, you already know that… It’s the Sheraton, of course!… But when it comes to WiFi, the ranking is upside down. Standing on top of the most prestigious hotel ranking doesn’t mean providing the best wireless network on earth. Each HotelChatter rolls out its best WiFi hotel ranking.

This year, the most valuable hotels for WiFi geeks are Kimpton hotels. For the second consecutive time. “The brand improved their now legendary free WiFi service in the last couple of years, by extending their fast, reliable WiFi network to your upstairs room, at many hotels,” reported HotelChatter. A tip for its competitors: Kimpton provides two separate wireless networks, one in the lobby and the other for the guest rooms.

Also ranked into the list: Omni Hotels, AndrĂ© Balzas properties, Holiday Inn/Marriott Residence Inn, Klein properties. Joie de Vivre hotels, Sheraton, and Hilton remain at the bottom of the list, filed under the category “Promising Developments”. So, unless your stay has been paid by your firm, you’d better stay in a cheaper but connected room.
