Apple Leopard to welcome VoIP

Apple is expected to overhaul its operating system called Leopard. And on the update roadmap, the system would welcome a roar more voice over IP functionalities.

This relaunches Apple in the VoIP race and brings the eventuality to a VoIP beefed up iChat. According to AppleInsider, “the move will pit the Apple-branded video conferencing and instant message software against existing VoIP solutions from the likes of Skype, Google and Microsoft.”

But this move could just pave the way of the upcoming (stealth) iPhone. And should be considered as a small move inside a greater plan.

PS: The first release candidate for the new version Yahoo Messenger for Mac 3.0 is now available. No VoIP features have been detected by Techcrunch.
