Cisco and Apple extended the cease-fire

Cisco and Apple work it out. In a joint statement released yesterday, Cisco agreed to extend the time Apple has to respond to Cisco’s iPhone trademark lawsuit filed on January 10. The new deadline is February 15th.
For now, Cisco intends to make the Apple iPhone interoperable with its own VoIP Skype phones, whereas Apple might pressure its opponent to drop the case due to the trademark it might loose some times ago. The extension might lead to a settlement instead of a lawsuit.
