Steve Case feels sorry. Sorry for letting AOL merge with Time Warner and witness some $200 billion in shareholder value destroyed. To him, AOL should split from the media company to regain some financial interest.

But believe it or not, Case still thinks the merge was a “good idea”, according to Reuters.

AOL is trying to find some fresh air these weeks. Selling its subsidiary companies throughout Europe and reinventing itself as media and social company. But that doesn’t seem to cheer Case mood. Is it the first bad sign of the AOL-Time Warner new orientation?

Note that Time-Warner is about to unveil its roadmap in August, 2.
