US wireless operator AllTel to be sold?

AllTel, the fifth-largest U.S. wireless operator serving some 11 million customers, might be acquired by some private equity firms. The rumor already boosts up by 5% shares of the telecoms company. The Wall Street Journal reports Alltel buyout might be possible due its low debt relative to other telecoms carriers. Verizon Wireless or Sprint Nextel could also be part of the buyout.
