AIM 6.0 is out

The new AIM is out. AIM 6.0. The design has been refreshed (but not that much), but looks more and more like an extended tie, thanks or caused by a set of new functionalities.

So what the new functionalities? AIM allows people to send messages to offline users to receive later and enables conversation logs. The service also includes a new mobile dashboard that lets users manage mobile alerts and forward instant messages to their cell phones once they log off.

AIM has now a doubled number of contacts users can have in their buddy list (up to 1000 from 500), gets a more intimate integration with AIM Pages, the AOL’s social networking service, and through its Presence widget, let users receive messages sent from their blogs.
